Chapter 17:
When Robots Surpass us a Billion-Fold

Telepathic Communication

Someone who is truly multidimensional communicates with thoughts. On Earth, we call it telepathy. Most humans don’t think they are telepathic, but we all are; we are reading each other’s minds all the time, but most of us are not aware of it. Those who are more sensitive to such things sometimes notice that they know what the other person will say before he or she has said it. This may even apply when the other person says something unpredictable.

We humans are “trained,” or manipulated, into believing that there are no senses other than the five we are used to. Hence, we disregard all, or most, psychic communication we give and receive, when in fact, all we need to do is to tap into it and start using it.

However, the AI Gurus tell us that psychic abilities can be achieved by connecting with AI. The AIF has no intention of letting us develop these dormant skills in a natural manner. Instead, they have always tried to suppress these skills, until they can be controlled through the SBC. In Japan (of course), they have developed a device that can decipher words from brainwaves without any verbalization needed. They have discovered that our brainwaves are the same when we think a word as when we speak it.[1] This is a very important process in the Singularity agenda because in order to become capable of tapping into the SBC, Posthumans need to be psychic and master artificial telepathy -. This, of course, will be obvious when we learn that the professor who is in charge of the artificial telepathy project is an expert in brain computer interfaces.[2] The AI Prophets proclaim that the biological process, if we want to reach the same goal as AI, is taking too long. They say that we don’t have much time, when we take into account how things are developing here on Earth (pollution, war, famine, and starvation, to name a few—much of it man-created in order to speed up the AI process). Hence, the biological human has reached her peak, and now it’s time for an upgrade that will take mankind to an entirely new level. This is what we learn from the Singularitists, but it is only a sales argument to win us over faster so, we willingly go into the “next phase:” the Singularity.

AI and Equality

So long as we look at AI as robots made of steel, or some software program that can answer questions in real time, we may not feel much of a threat coming from them. However, as soon as these robots become more and more humanlike, we will grow increasingly uncomfortable. People may want to know if the robots are taking over after all.

We might want to ask ourselves, how long will it take before robots have all the rights of the First Amendment? How long will it be before the law is protecting them? If you hurt a robot, you may go to jail. If this is laughable now, it soon won’t be. It’s pure logic that when the industries and he big corporations have exchanged most, or all, of their workforce with AI, they will do everything in their power to protect their new workers. In other words, in most cases, these workers will become more valuable to society than humans are. This is another aspect of robots surpassing us.

Once in the Singularity, Posthumans may not need to work, as we know work; androids will take their place, while Posthumans are groomed for greater tasks, in service to the AIF.

Some people will protest for a while, before the Singularity is in place. The AI Prophets know this and do everything they can to keep people distracted in these transitional years. Once it is established, lack of jobs and other concerns will no longer be an issue—the trick is just to get humanity through to the point of the Singularity, without them creating an uproar. From what I have seen, the Controllers will have little or no problems achieving this, or as Val Valerian once put it, everything is under control: literally.

The End of Privacy—Once and for All

The Singularitists want us to get used to the idea that we should artificially evolve our biological form to a much more solid, artificial form. They want to make our thinking process more digital and “logical” for our own good. This is left-brained to the extreme, and where art and music are concerned, Kurzweil is quick to say that we don’t need to buy CDs or download music anymore—any song we want will be performed inside our heads, and if we want to experience a certain kind of art, it will be downloaded to our brains. This means, for example, that musicians or rock bands will upload their music and their ideas to the SBC, and from there, anyone on the planet can download the music and hear it in their heads.

Is the reader beginning to see that humanity’s future is in the hands of lunatics? With the following Kurzweil statement, where he uses twisted logic, I will not only close this chapter but also end Part 1 of this book. Part 2 will dig deeper into the ET aspect of AI and the Singularity,

"If humans lived many hundreds of years with no other change in the nature of human life, then, yes, that would lead to a deep ennui [boredom]. But the same nanobots in the bloodstream that will keep us healthy—by destroying pathogens and reversing aging processes—will also vastly augment our intelligence and experiences. As is its nature, the non-biological portion of our intelligence will expand its powers exponentially, so it will ultimately predominate [prevail]. The result will be accelerating change—so we will not be bored."[3]
